Rates

A private session is a one-on-one session. There are often other people in the studio at the same time.  Exclusive studio access rates differ from studio to studio.

A semi-private session is two clients with one instructor.  

A 30-minute session begins and ends on time; Shuriu charges the same rate for private 30-minute sessions as for 60-minute semi-private sessions. These are very intense sessions that require focused participation from the client from start to finish. In cases of young children and frailty due to age, the sessions are more relaxed and paced to match the attention span of the child or the stamina and needs of the client. But for the average 30-minute session client, prepare to do between one to three exercises thoroughly, including having your smart phone ready to record your homework. If you are looking simply for a workout, we recommend group classes that last one hour instead.

A Group Class size varies from studio to studio based on the kind of group exercise and on the available equipment in each studio.  At this time, the studio in Old World Village has up to 4 students possible per class; the Pilates studio in Huntington Beach has up to 6 students per group equipment class or up to 8 students per group mat class; and the dance studio has room for up to 20 students per class.  Can't find the class on the schedule you want with Shuriu?  It's possible for additional class times with sufficient attendance.  Please do not hesitate to contact Shuriu.

When group classes are booked through Bloom Pilates & Wellness MindBody Online portal, Bloom Pilates rates and rules apply and they are listed at the Bloom Pilates & Wellness website.

• All classes are 55 minutes in duration, unless otherwise noted.

• Please give notice of cancellation 24 hours in advance. This allows us time to offer the class to others. Classes cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be deducted from your package and cannot be refunded.

Please note that all dance students will see Shuriu Lo at the dance studio for the discounted prices listed.  If seeing Ms. Lo at any exercise studios, dancer's discount rates do not apply.

Beach Cities Dance Studio prices for adult students are $100 for 5-class card purchased through the studio director @Marilyn-Seller by Venmo.  Please note that for dance students 17-years-old or younger, class prices are based on number of classes taken per week each month.  Please sign up directly with the studio.
